Madge Voice: Honestly I don't think your budget would hold.. but you can try checking on line with the prices of every remodeling your going to make..
Marco Stolarz: Most definitely. I am in the process of planning my wedding right now, and I have been able to stay within my budget of 2k. Also, I am planning very fast, three months before the wedding on New Year's Eve. I found a church that is very reasonably priced. I will have the wedding and reception there. We are having things nice, but not too fancy, as we are very relaxed people. I have purchased invitations and some decorations and favors on ebay. I am renting my dress and he is renting his tux. Just do a google maps search for rental places that are close to you. I have a hard time finding shoes in my size, so I am buying comfy plain white ones and will have a friend jazz them up to make them look expensive by adding lace and beads and such. The church is very beautiful and doesn't require or allow too many! decorations. Also, it is generally considered taboo to serve alcohol at a church, so that's a big expense removed. I have a small wedding party and everyone is paying for the rental of their own clothing. I am having the wedding in the middle of the day, so I will only be serving heavy hors d'oeuvres. The time of the wedding dictates the etiquette for this. I also will purchase all the food from my local wholesale club and enlist several friends to lay it out. Also, watch the cost of your favors. Keep this simple. You can also rent things such as table linnens and dishes. You can have your pretty cake that you and your new husband cut and have the less fancy, less expensive cakes in boxes in the back to be served to the guests. Congratulations and keep researching the net for creative and inexpensive ideas. You aren't the only one with a budget. SMILE....Show more
Lavelle Viveiros: I only have a $5k budget but I am looking for inexpensive, yet looks decent, and minor! things I would do myself if they are beginner and dont use to! o many tools. If you are a contractor or other handy man, could u work with this ? $5k includes labor and materials. Im in Contra Costa County. CA...Show more

Theresia Fashaw: I don't think you have enough, but I suggest that you already have your shopping list, and you go on line and start picking our your taps etc. etc. and pricing then against your list. When you realise what this ACTUALLY cost you then can make decision to cut corners to meet your budget by down scaling say the type of taps etc. you buy to perhaps a cheaper style. You could also try store that have discontinued stock etc. to keep the cost down. Also there are things that are a want and not a need. Distinguish what is a need and put this on the bottom of the shopping list, for when you can afford it. this way you will have enough to buy what you want, and still know how much you will need to save for the things you want. Hope this helps ;-)...S! how more
Phil Kuarez: I'd say you haven't got even a faint hope of getting all that done on that budget, even if you do most of the labour yourself. I'm giving minimum amounts for materials, and of course these estimates are very rough because I don't know all the exact prices of the exact stuff you want off the top of my head. And consider that if you want to do all this yourself, you're probably looking at investing $500 in the tools you'll need to do it and I'm being conservative there. You also haven't given enough detail for anything close to an accurate estimate. Are there 10 kitchen cabinet doors to refinish, or 30? And what kind of refinishing do you have in mind? How big are the rooms you're painting?Refinish cabinets, your labour and material, minimum $60Replace faucet, your labour, $40 Lighting, though it's not entirely clear what you're describing, your labour, $200Door locks $100Fence panels $900Ceiling fans x 5 $400Bathroom $400Flooring $1600Garage do! or, haven't a clue but don't see how you can do this for less than $500! , and not without help.Gutters, You didn't say how many feet, get an estimate from a gutter installer, min. $600Trees, $400Paint $400Front yard fence and gate $700Appliances $2000 if you're luckyLandscaping( how much brick? what kind?) $1000So, with materials only and entirely your labour, we're up to, what, $9,300 and I'm just guessing. My guess if you hire someone for most of this would be close to or more than $20,000. You seem to know exactly what things you want, so why don't you make a detailed list after measuring everything, go to the stores or the websites and check prices? If you need to hire an electrician, make a detailed list of what you'll need one for, and get one in to give you an estimate. Call a landscaper and get an estimate....Show more
