Rubi Romo: Good evening K,I am sorry but I cannot pick one. GREAT landscapes must include variety. Can I please pick two (2)?A GOOD landscape only includes objects. In order for a landscape to be GREAT, you must be able to include a person or animal. I know Alaska is very beautiful. But the cold shocks me, and most of the Alaskan landscape can only be seen from the air, just like a good picture. I want an area where a person can hike old Indian trails with snowcapped peaks reaching over 14000 feet as a backdrop. I want to walk beside and âtouchâ 3000 year old, born before Christ, giant trees in which not even fire can destroy. I call these things/places, âGodâs beautyâ.http://www.monumentaltrees.com/en/trees/giantsequo...At night I want to lie in my sleeping bag and count shooting stars. Let my mind run amok with the wonders and vastness of space. I want to point out and trace the constellations which until now were part of chapters in a school text book. I want! to fall asleep viewing the heavens and our own Milky Way. As I lay there, I want to listen to the waterfalls in the distance which form hundreds of rivers, brooks, and lakes, big and small. The water from these rivers enables California to grow 80% of all the fruits and vegetables in the United States.http://localfoods.about.com/od/searchbyregion/a/CA...I want to be able to reach out and touch solid granite which is 100 million years old and over a mile high. I want to see and touch the waters of the second deepest and largest alpine lake in the United States. This is my favorite landscape because I can be a part of it. GREAT landscapes are found in âThe Mighty High Sierra Nevada Mountain Rangeâ.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sierra_Nevada_(U.S.)http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_...K, I have to pick another because in my opinion it also has the most beautiful landscape in the United States. A GREAT landscape which includes animals, birds, butterflies, and! fish? I have to include the coastal routes of California. A p! lace called âBIG SURâ.Many including myself would consider âBig Surâ along US Highway One (1) the most beautiful place in the United States. The ocean views are beautiful. The coast redwood trees on one side with the blue Pacific on the other side.Along the way, you will see whales, otters, and seals playing and swimming in the water while giant California Condors fly over your head. (PLEASE READ Henry Millerâs quote half way down the website on right hand side). Footpaths will lead to fields of wild flowers between redwoods trees filled with hundreds and thousands of Monarch Butterflies flying in the air. The flowers and trees are filled with thousands of Monarch Butterflies. K, you have seen nothing until you become part of this truly GREAT landscape.http://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=Awr...You also have to keep in mind the area is home to the 6,000 square miles Monterey Bay National Marine Sancturary. This sancturary is home to the most diverse MARI! NE ecosystem in the WORLD. The sancturary also supports thousands of plant life for twenty (20) miles inland. K, take your time and go through the website.http://bigsurcalifornia.org/I hope you and your family have a beautiful day. Peace, from Los Angeles....Show more
