the best sony vaio notebook and home theatre system?

Rodolfo Merel: The first part of your question about Vaio depends upon your requirements. You can go to the Sony web-site and "build" a lappy based upon the requirements that you input and that will help you narrow down the specifics of which to choose. I own 2 Vaio machines but each are different based on different needs. The second part of your question depends more upon your budget. Sony is a bit more expensive because of reputation. Go to Circuit City and compare based upon specifications and what sounds best to you. Keep in mind while you're there the size and shape differences of your room at home. Then, after choosing, go home and price shop on-line for the exact model chosen to get the best price. Then go back to Circuit city with a print-out of the best internet price and they will match it....Show more

Dewey Heersink: that ought to do exceptionally lots, somewhat assuming the 9600 M has 512 MB of committed memory (and doubtless some extra shared memo! ry). you're turning out to be a sluggish physique value in some factors (and unusually adequate on the login demonstrate), yet you ought to do high-quality. i've got run it on a laptop with lots decrease stats and it replace into high-quality with lots of the effects became down and spell effects a pair of million/2 way. The shadows putting seems to be the worst criminal....Show more

Ayesha Genova: I think the FW is their best right now - it is the lowest price (lower than the CR and AR) and has their highest graphics card.I bought one for under $2,000 with a 3 Year Accidental Damage Warranty, 2.53 Ghz Processor, the higher graphics card, and what not. It has been well worth it.The AR is huge and not p! ortable whatsoever. It's also quite a bit more expensive. If y! ou spec the CR (a smaller screen at 15.4") it is more expensive at the same specs. The FW is a great cross between a 17 and 15.4 inch - it has the benefits of both. It's pretty portable too.I would suggest it - I own one. Though, buy it from sonystyle.com directly as they are easier to deal with than middle-men like Best Buy.That or look at an HP - they also have some nice laptops.Still, I love my FW to death! Even the Sony guy said it was the best - he owned one - because it was a deal and better than some of their more expensive laptops.Home theater I don't know as much about. It depends if you want Blu Ray. The FW comes with the option of a Blu Ray player. Panasonic and Samsung I think both make Blu-Ray players now too.I would look at Panasonic and Samsung as well as Sony as those are both great brands. We have chosen some Samsung things for our home (an HDTV and a Blu Ray player) this Christmas - as they seemed better priced and had a better quality than the Sony ! equivalent in our opinion.Hope that helps!...Show more
