answers 0:I have a bottom molar 3rd from the back on the bottom. The tooth has a crown, The tooth under the crown is cracked and I have periodontal disease to the gum around the tooth. The tooth is 1/2 tooth and 1/2 filling material with a crown on top. There is no root since I had the root canal. Any idea how long this appt may take. I am TERRIFIED of the dentist--please helpanswers 1:Impossible to say I'm afraid, without seeing an Xray of it, and even then it is quite unpredictable - by the way, you DO have roots, only the nerves are taken out when you have a root canal.When I book patients for an extraction, if its routine, I will usually book a 1/2 hour appointment, and that's from bum in chair to leaving. The actual "pulling" part would normally only last 2-5 mins, but if it snaps, could take longe! r.Hope this helps, and don't worry - hundreds of people have it done every day - you'll be fine...
