Need ideas on what color to paint our living room and Kitchen??

Darwin Ecton: play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_visualizer...I think the color called "Greening" (# 6448) would definitely work for both rooms, but if you're looking for two colors I would use that in the kitchen and a darker shade, like "kale green" (# 6460) in the living room....Show more

Jayson Brod: If you want a bigger looking room, don't paint a very bright color. Darker colors make rooms look smaller. If you want longer looking walls, don't add a baseboard. Baseboards shorten the wall. Your kitchen counters are off-white, so you want a warm (not cool) color in that room. But to make it look bigger you ! also want a light color. Example: Glidden Colorado Dawn.

Patrica Loertscher: A light celery green, like Sico's Green Resin should go well with your green countertop. Your countertop is the one item that has to be considered when choosing your new wall colour, as almost every colour will match your tan carpet and your kitchen floor. Most often the rooster motifs have deep yellows and terra cotta colours, and these will contrast stunningly with a light green. You can also add wrought iron details (table legs maybe, or decorative wall clock...) for a nice look. The light green continued into the living room can be broken up with a more neutral colour, such as Sico's Portobello which is a medium-light grey-beige (almost a light putty colour). Your choices for colours for furniture will still be very flexible.Good luck!...Show more

Sang Hanafin: for your kitchen pale colours are pretty like yellow, orange or green! you can combine them too! for your living room it wou! ld be nice to have something calm like sea green, coral or eve! n royal blue.
