How does Parks and Recreation compare to The Office?

Azalee Ahrendes: Parks and Recreation is a great show, not quite as good as the office in my opinion. It's a bit more slapstick - a large part of The Office's humor is Jim and Pam being the "normal" foil for their weird colleagues, whereas in Parks and Recreation everyone is their own brand of crazy, though not everybody to the same extent. If you liked The Office you'll probably like Parks & Rec. Just give it a try....Show more

Mitchel Demry: Parks and rec season two is excellent. Just go for it. I was afraid it was going to be an office clone, which it isn't, but it is equally as clever and hilarious.Also similar to the office, avoid season one! It's horrible and the cast agrees.

Kandi Lough: i wouldnt say parks and rec is as epic as the office. however, this last season of it (season 3 i believe?) seriously put it in the running as one of my favorite shows up there with the office! it has the same dry humor as the office, such as the acotrs occasionally loo! king and smiling at the camera, filming through blinds and doors, and individual interviews to the side, but other than that, its a show of its ow. the characterss are all so unique and i suggest watching the latest season of it first. its. sooo. good. and hilarious....Show more

Weldon Totaro: The other answerers were correct in saying that Parks and Rec is great. None of them mentioned Leslie and Ben. They aren't exactly like Jim and Pam, but they are probably the closest equivalent.
