strategic 2 player card games?

Gwenda Micheals: I like rummy as there are many variations of it. i'd check out http://www.pagat.com/rummy/> b/c there are several versions of it. however i tend to like classic canasta for 2-players (b/c you have to count cards). if however canasta is too complicated try 500 rummy. gin rummy is for two players, but that is only discarding & drawing actions so it doesn't have a lot to it in my humble opinion.german whist is also good as a trick-taking game for 2 b/c you'll have to remember the cards your opponent received or played. http://www.pagat.com/whist/german_whist.html> if you want something different with tricks then i'd go with 66 which is like a simplified version of pinochle but with only 1 copy of each card (it's has 24 cards with cards 9-ace). best part of all there are variations to this game as well as adaptations of this game for 3 or 4 players. it's fun i'd say. http://www.pagat.com/marriage/schnaps.html> also more similar games are on this web page:htt! p://www.pagat.com/marriage/>Now that should be enough to get you started. hope you find something enjoyable!!!...Show more

Romeo Tinnea: Seep is a great north Indian card game playable in both 2 player and 4 player format. It is available in its multiplayer avatar at http://www.seepstation.com - One can play and chat in real time vs live players and discuss the game on forums as well. For people willing to learn how to play the game, a nice graphic tutorial is also provided inside the game.
